We recently received a delightful little book, T is for Tree: A Bible ABC, from Reformed Free Publishing Association for review. This hardback book is recommended for children ages 3-6, but really kids of all ages will enjoy it.
The photos are beautiful, the scripture is applicable, and the rhymes are fun.
My 16 year old and I took turns reading the book to my four younger children (2, 4, 6, and 7) over the review period.
All four of them really like the book. Caroline’s (6 year old) favorite part is the outside frame of each page. They all have different, illustrated frames.
The photo below is my absolute favorite in the book.
Filled with Bible passages (King James Version), fun short rhymes, and detailed illustrations, this wonderful little book is designed to teach your young children about their heavenly Father.
His almighty power and faithfulness to fulfill His promises is a resounding theme within the book.
As much as I love this book for simple reading and looking at pretty pictures, you can use the book to guide your children in the truths of salvation.
Not Your Everyday ABC Book
T is for Tree is not your everyday ABC book. Yes, this is an introductory alphabet book, but the illustrations, rhymes, and scriptures set it apart.
If I had one complaint, it would be that this book is designed for children, but it contains paper. I don’t know about you and your children, but mine rip the pages out.
Thus far, I have been successful in keeping it up out of little hands’ reach, but I would really like to see this in board book form.
So what are our plans?
T is for Tree is actually in our Morning Basket right now. My preschooler likes it so much that we read it multiple times each week during our daily circle time.
