Get An Energy Boost!

Being a mom you’re always gonna find times during the day where you’re feeling a little bit deflated. It’s hard whether you’re a stay-at-home mom or working, you’re still a trooper! Everyone needs that little bit of me-time or five minutes of peace, but when you’ve got all these things going on it’s hard to find that last bit of energy. Don’t worry, here are some life hacks to have more energy throughout the day.

Food and drink

To maximize the boost you get from what your food it’s better to eat little snacks every so often instead of three main meals a day. This gives you more of a steady supply of energy. Go for foods such as fruits, vegetables, oats, grains, pasta, rice, beans, and pulses. Begin each morning with a good breakfast because your body has been slaving away during the night digesting and processing the previous day.

Make sure your diet contains some protein, eggs or yogurt are healthier options for example. A tip for saving time but still getting in all those nutrients is making soups and smoothies. For some amazing smoothie ideas, click here

You absolutely must drink lots of water throughout the day. A tell-tale sign of dehydration is feeling fatigued. If you haven’t already bought a refillable water bottle and try to keep it with you at all times. Aside from water, I like my daily CBD tea.

While water being the number one essential fluid you need to be glugging, you can still relax and unwind from time to time. Save alcoholic drinks for the evening that way, as they will make you tired.

Coffee

Cutting out caffeine is not necessary, in fact it has been proven to have many medical benefits.. How can you best use caffeine to your advantage? Limit yourself to four cups a day, and steer clear of it in the evenings, as this might keep you up. There are many new types of coffee that you can try. For example the ever popular Poop Coffee which sounds ominous but is actually the most luxurious coffee in the world. It’s made from civet cats in Indonesia. Their digestive process does something magical to the coffee which makes it the most famous in the world.

Exercise

Exercise is key to keeping your energy levels in order. It might be difficult to find the time, but there are many quick workouts online you could try, if you can’t make it to the gym or classes. Try an online yoga tutorial. You can use ones that give you a 30-day program, so you don’t have to leave the house or motivate yourself too much.

Rest

Sleep! Try to stay in a routine with sleeping as this will help you sleep better at night. It’s a good idea to have short naps during the day if you have the luxury.
