As a mom, you’re pretty incredible at most things. Whether it’s getting all the kids to practice on time or crushing your career and family life, there isn’t much you can’t do. Sadly, you’re not a character from the Marvel Universe, which means you can’t turn back the clock. So, making sure there are enough hours in a day to cook healthy meals is tough even for you, a masterful mother. But, because you want your kids and family to maintain their health, you don’t want to give up on delicious, organic dishes. And, you don’t have to with these tips!!

Here are the methods professional chefs use and endorse to save time while cooking.
Read The Recipe
Although cookbooks are incredible tools, they also lure you into a false sense of security. After a glance, you think “that’s doable,” and decide to give it a whirl. Halfway through, however, you realize you’ve bitten off more than you can chew and start to panic. Attempting to prepare a meal that’s out of your comfort zone is only going to increase the time it takes to cook, which is why it’s vital to read the recipe thoroughly. That way, you’ll have a better understanding of the complexity before you’re elbow-deep in eggs and flour!
Lean On Your Microwave
Microwaving ingredients might raise suspicion with cooking-aficionados. After all, chefs are about making dishes from scratch, and not microwaving meals for a couple of minutes. And, while this is true, it doesn’t mean you have to ban the most-used appliance in the kitchen. A baked sweet potato microwave style isn’t going to zap any of the nutrients out of the meal, and this is true of the majority of ingredients. Sure, put it in the oven if there is time. If there isn’t, don’t be afraid to use micro-radiation.

Take Time To Prep
Prepping doesn’t mean you need to peel potatoes for thirty minutes before you begin to cook. There’s nothing wrong with leaving the skin on vegetables if you don’t mind extra crunch. No, the term “prep” refers to getting your utensils in order beforehand. Preheating the oven and making a list of the equipment you require seems straightforward, yet it adds valuable minutes during the cooking process. Even worse, it’s lazy because you can do the majority of the prep any time you’re in the kitchen, regardless of whether you’re cooking at that moment.
Hoard The Leftovers
Granted, chefs won’t keep the leftovers and serve them in a professional setting as it’s against health and hygiene regulations! Still, everybody does it at home because it’s a fantastic way to prepare meals for later on in the week. Also, it eliminates the need to throw away perfectly good food. So, you can kill two birds with one stone: feed your family without wasting time while reducing wastage. Oh, don’t forget this tactic will save you a considerable sum over the long-term, too!
These hacks are good enough for the pros, but will they make it onto your list?
