As we roll into each new school year, I always try to be as prepared as possible. I make sure the house is nice and clean and prepare lots of make-ahead food so I can spend minimal time in the kitchen as we gently ease into our homeschool routine.
I’ve gone the extra step this year and come up with what I’m currently calling the information board . . .
This board sits on our school desk, up against the fireplace we don’t use.
As you can see, it contains pretty much everything I need to keep our week running smoothly.
Do you see those handy-dandy circle magnets on there? Yep, I’ve got some for you, too.

To make the magnets, I printed them out on cardstock and laminated them with my trusty laminator (I’ve had this thing for 8 years now!).
Once laminated, I used a 1 1/2″ hole punch to easily pop out each of the circles.
Once they were punched out, I added a bit of sticky tak to a small magnet and pressed them together.
I ended up not using every single chore circle and put all my extras in the top right corner of my info board. I intend to use different chore circles as we alternate through the chores, so holding on to the extras was a no-brainer.
My information board lists daily chores (things that get done during cleaning hour), weekly chores (chores that get done once a week), and then the helper section is where the children are shadowing me in my chores.
